Bushcraft Showcase
We have been so lucky over the years to receive feedback on how children have gone away and wanted to show the skills they've learned.
This challenge asks children to do just that. Bushcraft at home; share skills in school or another club.
Registering Completion
- simply take a picture or a video and send them to us using the link below; or
- post online and tag us using the handle @insideouted and the hashtag #DecadeOfAdventures, #ChallengeOne

Challenge | Two
Introduce a Friend
We'd like 2024 to be a huge year for Bushcraft and Adventure; for as many young people as possible. And so we're encouraging young people to invite someone completely new to the Adventures here at Inside Out. Whether this is inviting them to join them on a camp; bringing them to one of our 'bring a friend' nights at Outcrafters or clubbing together to join us on one of our special event days. Sharing the adventure counts.
Registering Completion
- simply register their entry using the link below.

Ten Days of Bushcraft
Send your child wild for ten days of Bushcraft with us here at Inside Out or another Bushcraft centre. This can include single day visits, special event days or our full camps.
Inside Out will keep an eye on day counts this end, but if your child attends a different Bushcraft centre, let us know using the link below.

Challenge | Four
Get Crafty
We want Inside out to be more than just memories! We want to leave some amazing things behind too. So we're challenging children to get crafty at Inside Out... this can be at one of our Camps (all will contain something), Special events (click here) or in Outcrafters.
Registering Completion
We'll track entries for this our end and present badges to any children that complete the challenge.

Challenge | Five
Plant for the Future
This one is dead simple - and will be open to anyone visiting throughout 2024. We have ordered a whopping 1000 trees and will offer every child visiting a chance to plant one!
Planting a tree takes five minutes, but the resulting tree could list five decades or more...
Registering Completion
Registration and completion of this will be monitored by Inside Out.

Challenge | Six
Making a difference
This challenge will ask children to use their bushcraft skills to raise money for good causes. Inside Out will be running a special camp for just that in the May Half Term (2024). But your child might have their own ideas - hammock camping in the garden, a bushcraft bake-off... Five pounds, Fifty pound or five hundred. Every little counts.
Registering Completion
- If your child attends our May Half Term camp, we will sign off the completion; or
- Take pictures and let us know how much they raised using the link below; or
- Go social and tag us online using the handle @insideouted, and the hashtags #DecadeOfAdventures. #ChallengeSix

The Bushcrafting 'Wall of Fame'
Starting in March, we will have a dedicated wall space here at Inside Out for Bushcraft Shout Outs. It doesn't matter whether they are the Youtube Idols, TV super stars or the amazingly knowledgeable Grandad - we'd like to know who your child's Bushcraft heroes are! All entries (or at least first of their kind) will be featured on our Bushcrafting Wall of Fame - and all entries will be added to our digital time capsule to be buried until 2034.
Registering Completion
- Simple complete the downloadable link below and either scan or send a clear photo to us using the usual entry link; or
- Go social by downloading, printing and posting the entry online using our handle @insideouted, and the hashtags #DecadeOfAdventures. #ChallengeEight

Ten Seconds of 'Frame'
It's a be there, be square kind of challenge as we ask children to go live in our Bushcraft Frame! Ten seconds of recorded, unscripted childhood opinion on their adventures here at Inside Out.
All entries will be digitally downloaded and added to our Decade Time Capsule to be unveiled in 2034.

Ultimate Tool Kit (UTK)
We'd like you to design your own bushcraft, quick carry kit. These are often small, can fit in a pocket or on your belt and contain at least three useful bits of kit. Some call them an Every Day Carry, but we want it to be entirely personal. As a bushcrafter and adventure, what would your UTK contain? What would it look like? Where would you keep it?
In order to count, it must be easy to carry. Nothing too large. That said, nifty ways of attaching it or storing it in your bushcraft bag could be helpful.
This is not a design entry - this you must make! Maybe you can use an old pencil case, get crafty with some leather, re-purpose a fold out wash kit or even craft something from scratch.
No knives! Your kit, should not contain a knife.
Please note - A Fire Craft Box does not count!
Remember - you are not competing against others. You are simply making your own, personal kit.
Submit Challenge Entry
Once you've finished or completed an entry; submit it using the options here.
If a file is too large, please email or WhatsApp it to use instead.
