Children must be aged 8+
Our annual Christmas Cracker event is back! Once again, the world of bushcraft & adventure will be colliding with the magic of Christmas for an unforgettable, hands-on day featuring open-fire cooking, wild challenges, and festive cheer.
Year after year, we raise the bar on the food, and the amazing young people who attend always deliver something incredibly special. From the three-meat carvery of 2024 to the framed-roast venison of 2023, our past feasts have been legendary.
This Year's Theme | ALL IN PASTRY!
We are attempting our most ambitious open-fire feast yet. The young people will be hands-on every step of the way as we craft this amazing food completely from scratch, cooking over the fire from dawn till dusk.
- Midday Luxury | A warm lunch of Cheese and Bacon Turnovers, featuring thick wedges of melted cheese, sizzling bacon, and seasonal chutneys, all perfectly wrapped in light puff pastry.
- The Epic Christmas Dinner | An astounding culmination of three classic festive pies:
- Large Pork Pies with a classic hot water crust pastry and mouth watering pork filling.
- Large and luxurious Beef Wellingtons complete with beef fillet, a mushroom duxelle and crepes all served in light puff pastry.
- Large Turkey and Stuffing Pies, complete with festive gravy encased in an indulgent shortcrust pastry.
All meals will, of course, be served with all the trimmings!
All this amazing food and open-fire action is sandwiched around an action packed day of engaging bushcraft workshops and fun, Christmas-themed wild games and challenges.
The Family Finale
As always, the event will conclude with our traditional family gathering. We invite you all (parents/carers and family) to join your children at 7:30pm for the final celebration!
Warm non-alcoholic mulled wine, hot chocolate, festive nibbles, and, of course, the big red bag of presents, with every child receiving a bushcraft-inspired Christmas gift.
*As previous years have been continually struck by bad weather meaning an adhoc change of date, we have this year taken the initiative to set a back up date. Should we have to cancel this years event, we will instead offer the event on Saturday 13th December.
